In 1904, thanks to the genius and talent of master ‘nose’ Ernest Daltroff, CARON opened its doors at 10 rue de la Paix in Paris. Driven both by his exceptional sense of smell and his love affair with his artistic designer, Félicie Wanpouille, Daltroff created an extraordinarily sucessful fragrance house that became known the world over.

 

This much-loved fragrance house has remained true to its perfume roots, shuning fashion in favour classic scents based on pure and rare essences. It is only found in select stores and unlike most Parisian fragrance houses it has remained under private ownership since it was created and was introduced the first men's perfume to the market.
