Thom

Experience: Thom at Murdock Shoreditch

Thomas has been in the industry for seven years, working mainly with gentlemen’s hair as this is where his passion lies. He trained and worked in several independent, contemporary salons outside of London, making frequent visits to the capital to attend courses at the Wella and Vidal Sassoon academies. In 2007 he took the plunge and made the move to Shoreditch as the glitz and glamour of East London called out to him; this move wasn’t just to benefit his social life though, Thom saw it as an opportunity to further his career.

Thomas has an extremely keen interest in fashion, art, photography and literature and this is what inspired him to start in the hair industry; “Hairdressing is a great way to express myself and let my creative side flow.”

Definition:

"I believe that you can don thbe wearing the most beautiful bespoke suit but if your hair looks bad then it can ruin the whole look. Your hair cut should be fresh, sharp and up to date all the time complimenting your face shape, image and lifestyle."

Best Haircut:
 .

James Dean. "A timeless classic and very cool hairstyle that he made his own. He was as famous for his hair as he was his acting and it certainly shaped his iconic image. The cut still inspires many musicians, actors and fashionistas today."

Hair Tip:

"I always say that you should never scrimp when it comes to products. Professional products always work best and although they are very slightly more expensive they last a lot longer as less is needed. A good quality shampoo and conditioner will keep your hair in optimum shape."
