Barbers

 

We are frequently on the lookout for new barbers.

It is the responsibility of the barber to act as brand ambassador for Murdock London and provide the highest quality barbering and customer services to the clients. With an eye for detail and a passion for the brand, a successful barber will display an impeccable standard of haircuts, wet shaves and other barbering services whilst maintaining an overview of the profitable running of the Murdock London concession as a whole.

All Barbers must have NVQ levels one and two in hairdressing to be considered. The NVQ in Barbering is an advantage, but not essential. We provide extensive in-house training on shaving, facial hair, facials and other men’s grooming services. We expect that all our barbers partake in our training programme and are constantly working with our training manager to progress and learn new skills.

 

Key duties include:

  • Customer journey - Greeting and seating clients. Ensuring that client’s experiences are thorough and enjoyable. 
  • Maintain the highest standards of personal grooming, appearance and etiquette.
  • Maintaining the barber-shop floor. (Keeping the floor clean and the barber stations equipped). 
  • Preparing clients for their service (Gowning-up, washing hair). 
  • Maintaining good stock levels in store and having a strong knowledge of all Murdock products. 
  • Communicate regularly with head office team to ensure company strategy is well executed. 
  • Adhere to company processes and procedures at all times whilst always seeking to explore new opportunities and develop existing clientele base.
  • Using the appointment system to take bookings , checking-in and out clients
  • Keeping the stations stocked with clean and folded towels. 
  • Maintain exceptional standard of housekeeping and hygiene in line with health and safety protocol.

 

 

 

Sales Assistants

 

We are looking for passionate and experienced Sales Assistanta with an eye for detail and a strong sense of style.

Acting as brand ambassador and first point of contact with our clientele, you must have a fantastic understanding of building and maintaining good relationships. Excellent communication skills are vital along with strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional customer service is a must and you will be proactive at all times offering a bespoke experience to all of our individual customers.

 

Key Duties:

The sales assistants key focus will be to drive retail sales and maximise opportunities through good organisation and understanding of our products and services.

The successful candidate will come from a background of working toward and achieving sales targets, as well as bringing enthusiasm, style and finesse, to the team.

You will be responsible for setting a high standard of visual merchandising to raising standards of product presentation, housekeeping and hygiene.

Adherence to opening and closing procedures accurately logged and completed.

Effective management and awareness of stock levels is vital to ensure minimal shrinkage and correct usage.

They will happily share their product and brand knowledge to ensure that each customer is looked after, from start to finish.

 

Other tasks;

  • Adhere to company processes and procedures at all times whilst always seeking to explore new opportunities and develop existing clientele base.
  • Using the appointment system to take bookings, checking-in and out clients, offering clients beverages and making sure they are comfortable in the surroundings.

Marketing Intern

 

We are looking for a Marketing Intern to work on an exciting retail project starting ASAP for a period of 4-6 weeks.

 

Project includes:

  • Local business research
  • Co-ordinating b2b communication
  • Communication follow up
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheet data accurately
  • Building business relationships and networking
  • Organise gift distribution
  • Contributing to the project team with enthusiasm
  • Reporting on your project weekly to the team in strategy meetings
  • Knowledge & Skills

 

The ideal candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships. In addition, he/she should be able to co-ordinate with all the departments involved to ensure the completion of the associated marketing programs. A high degree of organisation and self-motivation is required. This person must quickly learn the product and the market.

Preferably a responsible student currently enrolled in University working on a business degree or equivalent (marketing preferred since this will be applicable experience) with technical aptitude.
