Sales Assistant (Harvey Nichols Concessions London)
Murdock London are looking for passionate and experienced Sales Assistant with an eye for detail and a strong sense of style for our Harvey Nichols Concessions.
Acting as brand ambassador and first point of contact with our clientele, you must have a fantastic understanding of building and maintaining good relationships. Excellent communication skills are vital along with strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional customer service is a must and you will be proactive at all times offering a bespoke experience to all of our individual customers.
The sales assistants key focus will be to drive retail sales and maximise opportunities through good organisation and understanding of our products and services.
Effective management and awareness of stock levels is vital to ensure minimal shrinkage and correct usage.
You will be responsible for setting a high standard of visual merchandising to raising standards of product presentation, housekeeping and hygiene.
Adherence to opening and closing procedures accurately logged and completed.
The successful candidate will come from a background of working toward and achieving sales targets, as well as bringing enthusiasm, style and finesse, to the team.
They will happily share their product and brand knowledge to ensure that each customer is looked after, from start to finish.
- Communicate regularly with head office team to ensure company strategy is well executed.
- Adhere to company processes and procedures at all times whilst always seeking to explore new opportunities and develop existing clientele base.
- Using the appointment system to take bookings , checking-in and out clients
- Keeping the stations stocked with clean and folded towels.
- Maintain exceptional standard of housekeeping and hygiene in line with health and safety protocol.

Our barbers must have an extensive knowledge of trends, style, grooming and of course fashion!
We have 3 different tiers of employment for barbers:
- Junior Barber
- Head Barber
We take on all barbers at either a Junior Barber or Barber level with scope for moving up to Head Barber once you have proven yourself to be motivated, reliable and technically capable over a period of time with us. All Barbers must have NVQ levels one and two in hairdressing to be considered. The NVQ in Barbering is an advantage, but not essential. We provide extensive in-house training on shaving, facial hair, facials and other men’s grooming services. We expect that all our barbers partake in our training programme and are constantly working with our training manager to progress and learn new skills.
We require our barbers to be enthusiastic, hardworking and dependable with a passion for male grooming.
Our 4 locations around London attract a hugely diverse clientele therefore our barbers must have a strong ability to connect with all their clients.

Our sales and support staff must have a natural instinct for good customer service, excellent listening skills and an eagle-eye for body language. We expect our staff to act with efficiency, enthusiasm, personal initiative and have a great personality!
Sales and looking after our customers is not all there is to it. Youll need to be a mean multi-tasker who can balance every aspect of the shop floor which can get very busy and challenging! Youll have to keep our shelves fully stocked, maintain and update window displays, log incoming deliveries and use our booking system to manage the barbers appointments.
Communication is essential to being successful in this role. Excellent interpersonal skills, a confident and clear telephone manner and the ability to respond promptly and politely to e-mails are all a must. Taking responsibility for getting things done and to take pride in doing them well are also essential, as are positivity and energy. We expect you to be friendly, helpful and professional at all times.
Naturally we'll train (and expect) you to become an expert in the world of mens grooming. We will do everything we can to help you progress, learn the world of mens grooming and reward your accomplishments.
With the support of our in-house, on-the-job training there is rigorous and structured programme to get you up to par on product knowledge and be able to advise and pass-on your newfound expertise to our customers.
