Hi, I’m Adonis and I’ve been at Murdock since November 2017.

I am originally from Athens in Greece, where I started hairdressing in my dad’s hair salon at weekends. I soon realised I had found my passion, so after I finished High School, I joined a hairdressing college in Athens. Once I had graduated, I started working full-time at my dad’s salon. After two years there, and a further two years at another salon, I decided to travel to England to develop my skills further at the Vidal Sassoon Academy.

I always like to have a goal and set new challenges for myself, so whilst at the Academy I engaged with the new learning and put in the extra hours to perfect my skills. The hard work paid off and I was honoured to receive a certificate for ‘Best Student’.

I knew that this was the career that I wanted to settle in to, but I still had a desire to travel and learn about different cultures and people. I travelled to Asia for 8 months, and saw some of the most skilled techniques in barbering with the most basic of facilities. It was in Kuala Lumpur that I developed my interest in barbering.

Upon return I applied at Murdock, knowing that they would allow me to express my creativity and interact with customers on a personal level as they strive to create the perfect hair-styling experience - one you will remember and talk about!

Fun Facts

My dad was born in Egypt but I don't speak Arabic.

When I moved to England the only two phrases I knew were “HELLO” and “YES”.

My favourite movie is Forrest Gump (“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get!”)

When I went traveling around Asia the only things I had booked were my ticket from England to Hong Kong and the return ticket from Kuala Lumpur.
