When we were asked by the team at MINI to return with them to Goodwood for another thrilling weekend at the greatest motorsport event in the country, it didn't take us long to make our minds up. In fact it was impossibly hard to contain our excitement. Last year was such a great experience and we absolutely love getting to introduce the Murdock experience to so many people outside of our barbershops.

MINI celebrated their 60th Anniversary in style, building an entire street to explore full of exciting and interactive ‘MINI Moments’, which included the Murdock barbershop experience on Electric Avenue.

Murdock Man Triple Threat: Charlie, Tom & Jed

This year proved to be even bigger and better in so many ways. With a second chair installed in our purpose-built barbershop, Charlie and Tom packed up our custom Murdock Clubman and drove up to join the now Goodwood-seasoned Jed to form quite the Murdock dream time on-site.

"This year's set up was absolutely fantastic. MINI created an incredible, immersive village to explore and it was brilliant to have our barbershop located in the thick of the action. We were extremely popular!" - Jed

"Nothing will compare to the summer of 2019 at Goodwood. I loved every minute of it with my new found brothers, Jed and Tom. I think I did over 100 haircuts! We also got to drive some of the fastest motors and were treated like royalty by everybody around us." - Charlie

"We got the chance to meet some awesome people from motoring industries - Porsche, Red Bull, Aston Martin, BMW, MINI drivers - you name it, they drove it! There was so much to see across the site and we utilised breaks as best we could. The Porsche Experience and Red Bull stand (thanks for the VIP passes!) were exceptional highlights." - Jed

"It was incredible to meet so many people at Goodwood and be able to provide something that made such an impression on the event. When we arrived on the Saturday morning at 8:30am for our 9am opening, there were already 25+ people queuing outside the shop to get an appointment. We were fully booked again by 9:15am! It was crazy but so much fun." - Tom

As soon as we got the keys to our custom MINIxMurdock Clubman, we immediately got in touch with one of our all-time favourite Murdock Men and #TeamHARD/Porsche/Ginetta Race Driver Nick SD to put the pedal to the metal (as best you can in central London during the week) and take it for a spin ahead of the weekend. "What a car it is to drive!", he confirmed while buzzing to have finally got around that bus and enjoyed a sleek drive through the city, utilising the Clubman's Dynamic Traction Control.

On-site Nick took over the Murdock Instagram on Shootout Sunday to capture as much of the action as possible as he went exploring the site, taking us around his favourite highlights. We were also thrilled to see him in the morning enjoying a spot of father/son time with his dad in the barbershop.

We also received a special visit over the weekend from MINI Global Brand Ambassador Charlie Cooper. Charlie is the great-grandson of Charles Cooper, grandson of John Cooper (who was the father of the Mini Cooper), and son of John Michael Cooper, the creator of the John Cooper Works brand. Quite the family lineage!

A HUGE thank you to MINI and everybody involved in making this event as special as it felt. Also to everybody who paid us a visit during their time at the festival to experience our barbers doing what they do best. We hope to see you again next year!
